Amyris (died 431 BCE) was a priest working in the Sanctuary of Delphi during the 5th century BCE.
Around 431 BCE, Amyris and a group of other priests stole precious sapphires from a treasury in the sanctuary, with the intent to sell the sapphires to someone in Desphina Fort. However, while travelling through the Korykian Cave, Amyris was ambushed and killed by a group of bandits in the cave.[1]
Sometime after, tasked by her former mentor and friend Photios, now a guard at the Sanctuary, the Spartan misthios Kassandra explored the cave and found Amyris' remains, and a note directing her to Desphina Fort.[1]
