Lokris was a region situated in Northern Greece. Though barely inhabited, it was the center of Greece's salt industry in the 5th century BCE which became highly contested during the Peloponnesian War.
A relatively small region in itself, Lokris boasted only two towns: Alponos in the White Crystal Hills and Opous in the Red Lake Bay.[1]
