Harpalos (died 431 BCE) was a member of Worshippers of the Bloodline-branch of the Cult of Kosmos and the leader of the Followers of Ares.

History

Sometime before 431 BCE, Harpalos approached the Followers of Ares, and they welcomed him with open arms. His way of preaching appealed to the Followers, and he became their leader. Under him, the Followers gained the blessing of the Cult of Kosmos, and became an army for the Cult.^[1]

In 431 BCE, the Spartan misthios Kassandra embarked on a quest to destroy the Cult, and Harpalos fell to her blade.^[1]

Trivia

Harpalus is a name shared by multiple character in Greek Antiquity, among them a fifth century astronomer. In Greek mythology, Harpalus was the name of the son of Amyclas, king of Lakonia and father of Deritus, ancestor of Patreus, founder of Patras.
