Gotarzes was a pirate and the younger brother of Xenia who lived during the 5th century BCE.
In 431 BCE, after his ship was marooned on a small island near Keos, his crew members mutinied against him and attempted to eliminate him. The Spartan misthios Kassandra later found and rescued Gotarzes, returning him to Koressia in Keos.[1]
