Erykios was a Greek woman from Lalaia who lived during the 5th century BCE.
Biography
During the Peloponnesian War, Erykios was part of the hunting party consisting of her and Beroe, to be taught the ways of hunting in light of the recent Sons of Xerxes threat. Near the Kephisos Spring, they met the misthios Kassandra, who had been hired by the village's magistrate Periktione to defend the village. Erykios and Beroe brought her up the mountain where it was full of game, allowing Kassandra to teach and display her mastery of the bow. After a brief period of hunting, they thanked the misthios before parting ways.[1]
