Drakon (died 429 BCE) was a Boeotian champion and mercenary who lived during the 5th century BCE.

Employed by Athens during the Peloponnesian War Drakon was said to be a descendant of Herakles, a hero in Greek mythology. In 429 BCE, he was hunted down by the Spartan misthios Kassandra, who was helping her polis to claim Boeotia.[1]
