Ailéas was the twin sister of Fillan who was born and raised in the Highlands of Scotland. In 1296, during the battle of Berwick, the twins got separated and Aileas was saved from death by an English Captain.[1]

Although her eventual status as an Assassin is not confirmed, by the end of the book, Aileas announces to her brother her intent to both pursue her newfound vocation as a druidess and to join him into the Brotherhood.
