Chara was the name Phoibe had given her wooden pet eagle, given to her by her mother.
She always carried it, playing with it while running her errands.[1]
When the misthios Kassandra left Kephallonia in 431 BCE, Phoibe gave Chara to Kassandra, so that they would always be together.[2]
