Causantin mac Cináeda (died 877) was the King of the Picts in the late 9th century, based in Scotland.[1]

During the Viking expansion, Causantin sent a letter to the warriors of Clan Dunbar, instructing them to scout the Danes occupying Northumbria for weaknesses.[2]

Caustantin's troops ambushed by Ryce Sherwin, who had been robbing Caustantin's troops in Nottinghamshire to enrich the poor. Caustantins warriors were defeated with the help of Eivor Varinsdottir.[3]
