Azar was a Persian merchant who operated in Dublin, Ireland during the city's occupation by the Vikings in the 9th century.

Originally from the city of Shiraz in the Abbasid Caliphate, Azar was once the most powerful trader in the city until she betrayed by her partner Konstantinos, a former friend of her father's. She eventually left Persia and travelled westwards towards Europe, where she eventually wound up in the Ireland. There, she worked under the King Bárid mac Ímair and became one of his most trusted partners.[1]
