A view of Artemision Point

Artemision Point is the northern region of Euboea, Greece. During the Peloponnesian War, the region was largely forested wilderness, inhabited by wild animals and ragtag groups of people. Despite this, it housed the Oreos Quarry, and was wherein laid an ancient tomb.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra was tasked by the leader of the Daughters of Artemis to hunt down legendary animals. One of them, the Hind of Keryneia, lived within the Artemision Point.[1]
