Temple of Apollo

The Temple of Apollo was a temple dedicated to Apollo, the Greek god of sun and music, in the city of Korinth in Korinthia, Greece.

During the Peloponnesian War, the Spartan misthios Kassandra visited the temple, climbing onto its roof to take in the view.[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • The temple is depicted with incorrect number of columns. It is supposed to have four in the western cella and eight in the eastern but instead it is depicted with four and twelve respectively.[2][3]
  • The Temple of Apollo has the same fictional bronze pedimental sculptures depicting the Gigantomachy, the battle between the Giants and the Greek gods in Greek mythology that are also shared by other temples in game.[4][5]
