Tantalos, also known as Tantalus, was an individual in Greek mythology. He was the son of Zeus and the nymph Plouto.

Tantalos is famous for his eternal punishment in Tartaros: fruit on branches of a tree in the middle of a pond were always just out of his reach, and when he bent over to drink water, the water disappeared.^[1]

Simulation[edit | edit source]

Tantalos' fruit tree could also be found in Aletheia's simulation of the Underworld, protecting the solution to one of the Ainigmata Ostraka.^[1]

Tantalos is the father of Pelops, a king revered in Elis, in Greek mythology.
