Pierre was a Frankish rebel who once served under King Charles the Fat during the late 9th century. After being left to die on the battlefield by Charles, Pierre left the king's service and became the unlikely leader of the rebel movement against the Frankish monarch.[1] To achieve this end, Pierre worked with the Danish Viking Sigfred and his niece Toka Sinricsdottir to oppose his rule.[2]
