The Paidiskoi Camp was a Spartan training camp located in Lakonia, Greece.
Around 431 BCE, the misthios Kassandra explored the place, finding one of the Ainigmata Ostraka within.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The name of the camp references the Spartan rearing practice known as Agoge; the program had three stages, according to age, with paidiskoi being about the age 17-19. At that age, the youths became reserve members of the Spartan army.
