Otonia was a Greek woman who lived on Mykonos during the 5th century BCE.

Biography[edit | edit source]

Prior the Peloponnesian War, Otonia worked as a servant in the house Podarkes, the leader of the Silver Islands and a member of the Cult of Kosmos. She often received Dianthe and Kyra, and relayed their messages to Podarkes, and his to them. She was also the one who finally delivered Podarkes' warning to Dianthe, as well as the one who led Podarkes' soldiers to their home. There, Otonia watched as the men slew Dianthe, and as Kyra fled, barely escaping with her own life.[1]

Afterwards, Otonia became a beggar, and spent the rest of her life on the streets of Mykonos, begging for food and drachmae.[2] During one day, Otonia spied the Spartan misthios Kassandra making the acquaintance of Kyra. Catching the misthios' attention, Otonia led Kassandra to learn more about Kyra's past.[1]
