The Logging Camp was an Anglo-Saxon hamlet along the River Dee in the western part of the region, northwest of Farnham. It featured four buildings and was guarded by a few soldiers.
In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.[1]
