Hydrea

Hydrea is a Greek island, located east off the coast of Argolis. Together with Melos, Hydrea formed the Greek region called the Obsidian Islands.

History[edit | edit source]

During the Peloponnesian War, the island was home to Roxana, a Greek champion who trained in order to win the Battle of One Hundred Hands held on Melos and bring glory to her family, all of whom had perished in the tournament.[1]

Geography[edit | edit source]

Hydrea Island was a volcanic island, which nonetheless was fertile enough for agriculture to flourish. The island was divided into Eros Grove and Thermal Springs.
