The Algerian Brotherhood of Assassins was the branch of the Assassin Order located in Algeria.

In 1511, a group of Ottoman Assassins was dispatched to Algiers by the Italian Assassin Mentor Ezio Auditore. They established a line of contact with the imprisoned king Samis El Felipe,[1] who authorized them to employ the services of infamous pirate Hayreddin Barbarossa to diminish Spanish influence in the region.[2]
Once the Spanish influence on Algiers had weakened, the Ottoman Prince Korkut wished to ally himself with the Mamluk Sultan Al-Ashraf Qansuh al-Ghawri. The Assassins spied on the meeting and reported back their findings.[3]
Around the same time, the amir of Algiers, Selim al-Toumi, proposed to turn a blind eye to the Assassins' activities in the region in return for their protection of a community of Moors living on the island of Penon, which had been occupied by the Spanish.[4] Eventually, the Assassins were able to drive the Templars out of Algiers and seized control of the city, installing several Assassin Dens.[5]
