Glennacally Fortress

Glennacally Fortress was an Irish Christian monastery build along the River Erriff in the north part of the region, northeast of Killary Camp. Turned to ruins over time, it was eventually occupied by members of the Children of Danu druidic cult.

In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew. During one of these raids, she collected Lugh's Spear after defeating their Champion.[1]
