- "No one can catch the Flying Ikaros once the wind blows its sails. Some even say it doesn't sail but flies on the horizon. A reward awaits the captain who'll break this pirate ship's wings."
- ―Description of the ship on the message board[src]

The Flying Ikaros was a legendary pirate trireme sailing the Aegean Sea between the Southern Sporades and the Volcanic Islands.
During the Peloponnesian War, the Adrestia, commanded by the Spartan misthios Kassandra and captained by Barnabas, engaged the Flying Ikaros and her companions in battle, and sank it. Kassandra then claimed the ship's sail and finery for her own.[1]
Trivia[edit | edit source]
- The ship's name references the myth of Ikaros, who flew too close to the sun and melted the wax which held together the feathered wings made for him. Without a means of flight, he fell into the sea and drowned.
