Bragi was a Viking who served as a skald to members of the Raven Clan who had followed Eivor Varinsdottir to England.
He was known among his clanmates for telling ship stories, a fact for which they mocked him, saying he had too vivid an imagination for the tales to be real.[1]
Biography[edit | edit source]
One of the more senior members of the clan, Bragi was present at the feast in the village of Heillboer in 855 CE whereby Eivor's parents Varin and Rosta pledged their service to King Styrbjorn. Bragi is mentioned in The World of Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Journey to the North – Logs and Files of a Hidden One and noted to have been present in the court of Ragnar Lothbrok implying that he is the historical skald Bragi Boddason. However, Bragi Boddason already appeared as a separate character in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla – Geirmund's Saga.
