I wanted to ask you something. Which is... what's your name? This article title is conjecture. Although the article subject is canon, no official name for it has been given. |
| This article is about the Assassin rank. You may be looking for the equivalent rank in the Templar Order. |
An Assassin leader is a member of the Assassin Brotherhood who heads a branch of the organization.[1]
Before the 20th century, contact between countries was difficult and almost non-existent, resulting in the various branches of Assassins each having their own leader rather than being united under a single individual. Occasionally, these Assassin leaders were given the honorific title of Mentor, having proven they were wise enough, and after they had trained a high number of Assassin apprentices.[1]
By the late 20th century, when contact between countries was stable and common, the Assassin Brotherhood was united under a single leader, who was from then on known as the Mentor only.[1]
Known Assassin leaders[edit | edit source]
Leaders who are known to also have attained the rank of Mentor are marked with an asterisk. (*)

Behind the scenes[edit | edit source]
During the Den Defense events in Assassin's Creed: Revelations, there is a special type of Assassin unit that generates morale and unlocks rooftops for other Assassins to make their stand on. Although this type of unit is called "Assassin Leader", it is merely a designation of the unit's role in the battle and should not be confused with the subject of this article, which concerns the leaders of Assassin Guilds.
