Pheidon II was king of Argos, Greece during the 7th century BCE. Known for his arrogance, Pheidon allegedly took the organization of the Olympic Games from Elis. He was also wrongfully credited in helping invent weights and measures.[1]
After his death, Pheidon was buried in a tomb in Argos, which was explored by the Spartan misthios Kassandra during the Peloponnesian War.[1]
