Forum problem[edit source]

Vesper, a user named JackDick recently created a forum, as you may have noticed, Here. I tried to put the content, which was above the line, to the bottom, but for some reason the forum header doesn't move downwards. Any ideas? Altaïr Skywalker 47Agency Laptop 01:21, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

The forum header shouldn't move downwards. The page should be alright now. Slate Vesper (talk) 01:26, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Mariner Image[edit source]

I'm really sorry. I used the "Public Domain" template because one of the first concept arts I posted (done by the same person), it got edited. I wasn't sure what template I should give it, but I went with either the 'Screenshot' or 'Cc-by-sa-3.0' one. Someone later changed it into the Public Domain one, and I found it fit better so I used it from then on for all the concept arts I've uploaded of that person.

Oh shit, I really should've put something in the attention part. I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight. Is it even okay if these are uploaded? The concept artist, Borislav Mitkov, posted the concept arts in multiple places, among which was cghub, a place where previous concept artists of the multiplayer portion have posted their work, such as Antoine Rol and Anais Bernabé. Maybe I shouldn't have made their backgrounds transparent, but I thought it was okay to put up his work here. Isn't his work property of Ubisoft? Crookandcharlatan (talk) 10:02, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Stop panicking. All you would need to do is ask the artist's permission and make sure to use Screenshots or Cc-by-sa-3.0 next time.

And yes, it would be Ubisoft property, since they are designs for one of their games, which they employed the artist for. Their IP, so any production material like artistic designs belongs to them. Slate Vesper (talk) 18:01, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Sorry for freaking out. If it is Ubisoft's property, then there isn't a problem with it being on the Wiki, right? Or am I mixing up things? I'm just a bit confused by the 'asking for the artist's permission', I can't fathom the people of the Wiki doing that for every artist that's worked for Ubisoft. Maybe I'm seeing it a bit too simplistic, but I thought anything that belonged to Ubisoft, aka the artists' work, would be okay to post here, as long as it's properly sourced. Am I wrong in thinking that? Is there a more complex procedure that I've somehow missed?
Also, just for future reference, what is the Public Domain template used for? ^^; Crookandcharlatan (talk) 18:31, August 12, 2013 (UTC)

Revamp Animi Avatars Pages[edit source]

Hey there, Slate

So, there's been a "Revamp template" hovering atop the Animi Avatars (Brotherhood) page for quite some time, and I'd like to try my hand at fixing it up. I'd like to try it by myself, since I tend to shy away from revamps and I'd like to get better at it, but if you want to participate, I don't really have the right to say you can't. I'd like to ask you something though, since you're the most multiplayer-oriented admin (also, GI recommended you): when do I utilize "primary/secondary" stage and when do I utilize "first/second" stage? (cause the article titles themselves are quite OOU)

Thanks in advance ^^ Crookandcharlatan (talk) 16:09, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Primary/secondary/tertiary/quaternary are for the categories, because Abstergo are linked throughout all the renditions of the multiplayer, so they must have some plans behind it all.

For the in-article context, first stage is Brotherhood, second stage for Revelations, and console stage is for AC3 currently, with Black Flag probably being the second console stage. Slate Vesper (talk) 17:37, August 23, 2013 (UTC)

Some MediaWiki:Common.js coding please[edit source]

Hello StormbeastSlate,

Could you do me a favour and add this coding to MediaWiki:Common.js

$(function () {
    if (wgUserName) {
        $('.username-replace').text(wgUserName);
    }
});

This will make my template Template:username|Username]]}} work, showing the username of the person who visits the page.

Greetings,

Ow, I saw your mark of deletion. I made a new template, because this one will work with this coding, while the other one doesn't. But we could merge them of course, I just didn't want to disturb that coding.

I wouldn't mind merging them, but I don't have access. Vatsa does though.

Oh, and I'm Slate by the way. Storm is a different Staff member. :P Slate Vesper (talk) 22:54, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

I've merged them now, you can delete my template. And you mean you don't have access to the mediawiki page?
I believe only Vatsa, Amnestyy and Sima would have access considering they're bureaucrats. Slate Vesper (talk) 23:00, August 26, 2013 (UTC)

Multiplayer taunts[edit source]

Hi, Slate, I has a multiplayer-related question :x

I've spent a bit of my time (a little too much actually) listening and listing the multiplayer taunts from ACR. And based on what I found, I concluded that multiplayer characters have seven available taunts: selecting one of the three taunts in the character customization screen gives you two taunts the character can use when a target/civillian is selected (e.g. the Corsair's third taunt "Fear my revenge" has the additional "Buon viaggio" taunt). So altogether that would add up to six, with one taunt left for when the character stuns a pursuer.

However, I've run into an issue; there's a blog on tumblr called "allsoundsasscreed", which records and uploads soundtracks, dialogue and vocal clips. And for one of the characters, there's an eighth taunt that I can't seem to trigger, or at least, I don't know how. The character in question is the Guardian, of which I managed to trigger the following seven taunts this afternoon:

  • "Out of my way!" (taunt #1)
  • "Beg my forgiveness!" (taunt #2)
  • "Clumsy ape!" (taunt #3)
  • "Behold!" (additional taunt accompanying taunt #1)
  • "I fear no man." (additional taunt accompanying taunt #2)
  • "Face me!" (additional taunt accompanying taunt #3)
  • "I don't have time for this." (taunt after stunning a pursuer)

And then there's this one: http://allsoundsasscreed.tumblr.com/post/17704495912/you-have-sullied-my-blade-the-guardian-odai

I know it's a very trivial issue, but I've always liked the taunts and I believe they add character to the Animi Avatars ^^; Anyway, I was just hoping you might know how I can trigger that last taunt. I've updated a few articles so far with the taunts I heard myself, and simultaneously reworded those animations (I hope you don't mind), added in little tidbits for the clothes (the Guardian was very bare when it come to customization description :|) and removed images that are kind of out of date. I've gone through the history of some of those articles, which was kind of amusing sometimes; I feel we are approaching the construction of Animi Avatar articles better this time around :) That is all, apologies for this absurdly long post ^^; Crookandcharlatan (talk) 19:15, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

I wouldn't quite know how to trigger the eight taunt, as I was working under the same assumption that you have been (kills x2, stuns x1 for a total of 7). Perhaps it's for when you escape someone?
Also, you've been doing a great job on the MP pages so far. I'll give them a little once over and fix anything if it needs it, but I'm happy with your progress so far. :D Slate Vesper (talk) 19:28, August 28, 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, I've sent a message to the person that records them, so perhaps that'll shed some light on things (probably should've thought of that earlier). Hopefully she'll reply in the coming days.
And no worries ^^ I was a bit stuck on what to do on the Wiki after the multiplayer maps, so I've just taken this on as my little project. Describing clothing is difficult though (especially if the design just looks cool, but not very logical) :P Crookandcharlatan (talk) 19:50, August 28, 2013 (UTC)

George's Sword[edit source]

Hey Ves, do we even need this? Altaïr Skywalker 47Agency Laptop 14:03, September 2, 2013 (UTC)

Mentoring[edit source]

Hey Slate,

So, don't jump to conclusions because of that title :P Alty recommended certain people for mentoring (since I recently applied for the Apprenticeship Program), and one of them was you. I had a check and you weren't listed in the Mentor's lounge, but I asked on the IRC and AnimusRadiation replied you were in fact a mentor. So I'm here to ask you, on the advice of Sima, why you're not listed there. It's just me being curious, and you don't have to answer if you don't want to :) Crookandcharlatan (talk) 11:38, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

Like all Staff members, I can choose to be a Mentor to an Apprentice if I wish. I haven't elected to be one though because I don't think I'd be able to give out assignments and evaluate the changes to them as well as other Mentors, and since the Apprenticeship Program serves to help both the Apprentice's editing skills and the quality of the Wiki, for the latter part, I may not be getting the best revamps out of an Apprentice because of my judgement abilities.
Perhaps it's a pussy-weak excuse, but I'm the kind of person who likes to be absolutely certain about things before I act on them. Slate Vesper (talk) 13:21, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

And Slate, I recommended him you because you two had that multiplayer-interest-factor in common :) Altaïr Skywalker 47Agency Laptop 13:34, September 3, 2013 (UTC)
I guessed Alty, but as a Mentor, I wouldn't always be able to give someone multiplayer pages as assignments. Slate Vesper (talk) 13:36, September 3, 2013 (UTC)
Also, I do the assigning of Mentors. And Slate has already told me that he would prefer not to be a Mentor. Nesty Contact me! 13:37, September 3, 2013 (UTC)

IU weapons categories[edit source]

Hey there, Slate, it's good ol' Crim here. I was wondering if you've made any decisions about IU weapons categories like American Revolution weapons? Because I'm just about to categorise weapons by what type they are (short blades, et al.) and I thought it would make sense to get both done at once. --Crimson Knight Intercom 15:09, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

It all depends on what we'd name ACB and ACR weapons. I have Third Crusade weapons and Italian Renaissance weapons in mind for AC and AC2, but whether or not "Liberation of Rome weapons" and "Ottoman Renaissance/Empire weapons" would fit for Brotherhood and Revelations. AC4 can have Golden Age of Piracy weapons. Slate Vesper (talk) 20:03, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

They both seem fine to me. The only one I have small doubts for is "Liberation of Rome weapons", but I'm not sure if there are many alternatives. I shall muse over this. --Crimson Knight Intercom 20:17, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

I brought the subject up on the IRC, and Sima suggested that we adopt this method:

  • "15th century weapons" for AC2
  • "16th century weapons" for ACB and ACR
  • "18th century weapons" for AC3, AC4, and AC3L

And I'm assuming we can use "12th century weapons" for what little AC weapons we have. I'm cool with whatever we decide, in all honesty, but I just thought I'd let you know. --Crimson Knight Intercom 20:35, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

That's alright in some respect, but I'd rather that weapon pages for more than one game don't merge under one category, since it may confuse someone looking for AC3's weapons into thinking they can get something from AC3L or AC4 in their game. That's why I've chosen to make them specific to the main event that each game covers, considering that future titles can always occur in the 12th century or similar times. Slate Vesper (talk) 21:13, September 9, 2013 (UTC)

Re: Warning[edit source]

Hello Slate Vesper,

If possible, I would like to discuss with you, why I have been given a warning, I understand that originally, I was edit warring but it was my impression that an agreement had been put into place, the page would read Welsh, but upon clicking the hyperlink, the user would be directed towards the United Kingdom page, if that is no longer the case, please let me know but this was agreed upon by admins. As for my warning, is there anyway of getting this revoked, I was only doing what I thought Alientraveller and I agreed upon, obviously not realising it would get me into trouble with admins.

Thank you,

SionIeuanDavies (talk) 16:50, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

I gave you a warning because calling Edward Kenway "Welsh" was not fully agreed upon, and so to settle the matter, I made an edit stating that he was "born in Wales" in the second paragraph of his page to accomodate his heritage while still allowing "British" to remain. However, you still continued to swap British for Welsh, even after everything should have been sorted.
Keep in mind however that it is only a first warning. So long as you've learned that edit-warring is not tolerated, and that you can ask people on their talk pages (like this) when you have an issue to discuss, and take the Wiki's rules and policies into mind, you'll likely never get another warning. After all, even I have had a first warning. Slate Vesper (talk) 17:18, September 11, 2013 (UTC)

Question?[edit source]

On the AC 4 Hawk page it says that in the US the comic came out in November 12, 2012 except all the places I went to too buy it says that it is coming out November 16. Can you please explain to me why this is because if it is already out i would like to buy it. If you know can you help, Thanks! - Raghava Shah!!! 23:13, September 29, 2013 (UTC)

I believe it is because the comic was released last November in French, but its English and other language prints are coming this November 16. Slate Vesper (talk) 23:21, September 29, 2013 (UTC)
Then should'nt the US release be marked for November 16th 2013 on the AC 4 Hawk page?

MP Kill animations[edit source]

Hey Slate!

So, I don't know if you've played the multiplayer so far, but I'm sure you've seen footage, so you'll probably have noticed that there's been a change in how the kill animations are triggered. In fact, it seems Ubisoft has done away with the distinction of "low profile" and high profile". There's still the silent kills of course, which use the silent weapons, but as for the main weapons...

I can't say this for every weapon, because I haven't played that much yet, but every type seems to have six kill animations (I can confirm this for at least the Dagger and the Small Axe) that are used when the meter is below "silent" (or whatever the ACIV equivalent is), there's no distinction between running or walking. Four of those are like the default ones we've seen before, and then two that are exclusive to the character. Here's an example for the Rebel:

  • 2 axe kills originate from ACR, they are the default ones used for a character that is below silent and is walking, so they're identical to the first two described on, for example, the Vanguard's page.
  • 2 axe kills originate from ACIII, they are the ones used for a character that is below silent and is running. There's no description for these on any of our articles yet.
  • 2 axe kills originate from the Independent; they are the Rebel's unique kill animations and she's the only one who can perform them in ACIV. I'm assuming the four above can be performed by any character equipped with an axe.

So, how will we list these now in the articles for the Multiplayer characters? ^^; Would love your input on this. Crook The Constantine District 10:56, November 3, 2013 (UTC)

I would call the walking animations "Low Profile" as usual, since they're stock animations, the High Profile stock animations as "High Profile" and the character specific ones as "Personal High Profile" or something similar, in order to set them apart from the standard ones.
Also, sorry for the late reply, I've been having some internet troubles recently. Slate Vesper (talk) 08:56, November 4, 2013 (UTC)

There was no merit in doing it. Changing "Kenway's Jackdaw" to "Edward Kenway's ship, Jackdaw", when Edward Kenway had already been specified in the article is just a moot point. All it leads to is extra text. Slate Vesper (talk) 13:28, December 14, 2013 (UTC)

I noticed you removed the Wikipedia reference tag on the World War II page. Secondly, you can add whatever images you like to your Fanon provided you source them accordingly. Since it's late where I am, I will either link you to the policy later on, unless someone else would like to do that for you while I'm away. Slate Vesper (talk) 00:45, February 18, 2014 (UTC)

"Please note that you need to source any and all images you upload to the wiki in accordance to our image policy. For more information on how to source images, check this page. Also check the information about naming images appropriately. Badly named or unsourced images will be deleted. Feel free to reupload your deleted image with proper sourcing. Thank you." Thanks Storm for that. Anyway GWR, if you follow the links posted in this, you should find the image policy and other stuff you need when adding new pictures. Slate Vesper (talk) 00:53, February 18, 2014 (UTC)

Apprentice page[edit source]

I saw your edit on the "Apprentice" page. I should have known better, English is not my first language and I do now realize that my writing was quite faultly. Thank for the correction, I still have much to learn it seems. ClemFalda (talk) 00:12, February 22, 2014 (UTC)

I have to say though, your edit was good and constructive, even if it was a little unrefined. That sort of thing is what we like to see here, and I hope you stick around and contribute further. :) Slate Vesper (talk) 20:52, February 22, 2014 (UTC)
Thank you! I'll do my best, this wiki is a great project and some entries deserve more informations. Thank for all the work you did!

I understand, but can you please fix the fanon article for me, I am a bit busy at the moment.

Thank you, I am also curious as to how you feel about Matthew Travers, my main character. I am going to - after I complete the World War II story, Warmongers - Attempt a Corsair who existed in the 1500s-1600s and was responsible with the capture of Julius Ceasar.

Matt Travers[edit source]

Excuse me, sorry for bothering you but I am curious on what you think of my character Matthew Travers is coming along. I have not heard much from other people and I was just curious. UndeadHero (talk) 00:46, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

I will take a look now.

Edit: Just had a quick gander, and the character isn't bad. Like many things, the presentation may be spruced up a little bit with the help of a Fanon Staff member or other trusted user though. Slate Vesper (talk) 00:49, February 25, 2014 (UTC)

Hey there. Listen um, I was about to make an item, a special item, for my Fanon Character, and uh, is there anyway I could make an article about it? Like Fanon Item or something like that? I just want to ask in case there's some rules I don't know about that. Thanks for noticing, btw.

Anacletos[edit source]

Hey Slate,

Would you mind telling me why you undid my categorization edit on Anacletos' article? :s I figured that, since he was hired by the Templars, he "escaped" slavery, which would make him a Maroon, rather than a slave, right? I might be mixing things up here. Anyways, just leave a message whenever you can :)

Thanks for reading. Crook The Constantine District 08:36, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Maroons were African refugees that escaped slavery, not any slave that broke free. If that was the case, there wouldn't be much point to having two separate categories. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 08:40, March 8, 2014 (UTC)

Brahman[edit source]

Assassin's Creed: Pirates[edit source]

Hey Slate,

So, along with the millions of others things that still need to be done on the Wiki, our AC: Pirates section is looking very bare at the moment. I've been told you have the game? I don't have it myself, but I'd like to help in any way possible - I'd just like to get some work done on this game's lore as well, create some articles and stuff. I'm actually a bit interested in how it ends, considering there's mention of a Fragment of Eden (whether that's an Apple or an entirely different Piece of Eden, I don't know).

I've watched a video playthrough by some dude on Youtube, but unfortunately he stopped uploading videos about Pirates a month ago :s So, my knowledge only extends as far as he's played, but I did write down the documents he found and the general plotline, so I suppose that's something? I've also discovered some concept art of Alonzo, La Buse and Jumao.

That's all I've got, let me know if you'd be up for this. I completely understand if you're busy by the way. Thanks for reading :) Crook The Constantine District 21:46, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

I am absolutely willing to collaborate on Pirates with you, but I'm currently having an issue with the Apple Store having charged me payments accumulating up to roughly £21-22 GBP, yet they haven't actually claimed the money from my Santander account and it's stuck in withholdings, even after roughly 3-4 days. I was told by a bank representative over the local bank's phone that Apple usually retrieve the money after 3 days, but I recall purchasing a song on my phone 1-2 days after (Rather Be - Clean Bandit) and I've received a email receipt for it. Until they claim the money so I can report a problem with it or I find some available time to contact their Support department, I've sworn myself off from playing the game on my iPhone for precaution's sake.
It was due to this whole mess that I was led to reset the entire game, which is somewhat convenient for a replay, but from where I was previously, the game is stuck on a cliffhanger pending a future update, which despite the recent additions Ubi made, they did not bother to add more lore.
From what I can recall of the Fragment's power, it seems like it has the ability to change one's destiny or something vague like that. As I say, it's from memory, and though I suppose the sequences in the game can be replayed, it costs a scaling amount of supplies to travel between the later locations of the game, and to go back to location one from the "end", it does take a whole lot of grinding or shelling out real cash (that I currently want to avoid).
The whole reason I seem to have accumulated this monetary mess was through my attempts to use cash I wouldn't miss to unlock a coin-based side path with the new update, to further explore the story. It seems however that I've no bang for my buck, and I need to get that locked partition of my available balance back in tow. Slate Vesper (talk) 23:02, March 13, 2014 (UTC)

About Brahman[edit source]

Sorry to ask this because I'm confused but, is Brahman canon to the AC universe? Thanks.

(PS: If it is, help me adding some content in the Modern times because I haven't read it! Thanks!)

Cheers,

AgentG231 (talk) 03:46, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

Sorry, I don't mean to answer a question on someone else's talkpage, but it is canon considering it's published by Ubiworkshop, is featured in the AC Encyclopedia, and is shown on Initiates. It also has no discrepancies with the games. Raghava Shah 03:54, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

Well, thanks! (Raghava, can you please update the Modern times page with some modern day info from Brahman? Thanks!) --AgentG231 (talk) 04:06, April 22, 2014 (UTC)

If you'd be so kind[edit source]

Hey, Slate, I just wanted to say thank you for taking care of the mess I've left on pages. xD

Also, since my memory is faulty right now, could you change "Price" to "Cost" on tables, change "Statistics" to "Weapon statistics" on headings, and add "The" to image captions when appropriate, if I forget to? I have a feeling I'll forget these quite a lot. :) --Crimson Knight Intercom 20:47, May 7, 2014 (UTC)

No problem Crim, I'll get on that right away and leave the main details on the articles to you. :D Slate Vesper (talk) 20:49, May 7, 2014 (UTC)

Eric Cooper[edit source]

Hi, I feel really bad and ignorant that I failed to notice Cooper may be transgender. I'd assumed Cooper's tragic romance was a reference to Scottish-Pakistani tensions (no, I haven't actually seen Ae Fond Kiss). Certainly I now understand "Not one of them [Gavin's crew] has ever looked at me like I was a thing. I'd never experienced that before, ken?" I thought surgeries just meant he was wounded in battle; I certainly didn't intend to whitewash the character. --Alientraveller (talk) 15:28, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

Don't worry about it Alien. Sometimes things can be perceived differently when looked at with a different perspective. It may be that this was one of those cases. Slate Vesper (talk) 15:30, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

Contest suggestion[edit source]

Would you be interested in joining a gaming contest(free) for Assassin's Creed Black Flag? The story is below, and the join link is https://www.facebook.com/pages/Assassins-creed-IV-black-flag-nonprofit-tournaments/515111188601182 If you like it, please promote the contest, I need more players to truly create an enjoyable plot.

The first contest, is to collect steel cubes. This is done by using the share button or screenshot to record your kills, each of which is worth 20 ounces of steel, which is then divided by 27 to find the amount of cubes you can fill. At the end of the year, the winners (1st through 6th place) will be determined, and rewarded with a digital trophy in memory of their accomplishment. Like this post to enter. After 20+ entrants, OR 100+ cubes collected and posted with evidence below, the adventure will be revealed. May the best pirate win!
(First 1/4 of prompt)
Amid a roiling torrent of oceanic mist, the Titan surged forth, its armored contours glinting with the refracted light of the golden Sun. Sailing forth, a ebony flag streaming from its cyclopean mast whose oaken contours extended to the heavens akin to a morose soul seeking companionship with the entities of the azure dome whose curvaceous length arched overhead. The pirate hunter pivoted, its bow angling to level with Havana. The hunt begins.
(Part II)
Tremulous with undulating waves of anxiety, Kerointh extended his forth the vessel of bronze flesh which ill contained opal bone, and caressed the manuscript before him. Such a device would grant him his youth anew! Yet this intricate contrivance additionally required a nearly unfathomable amount of steel. Unfortunate, yet not indomitable, he could easily "reason" such quantities from pirates, proper exploitation of weakness, and a man could attain anything he wished! Without doubt, he would be young anew, and the earth would burn beneath him.
(Part III)
Sinuous cords of tendons' serpentine contours ascended from Edward's powerful hand as he grasped a shard of jaundiced paper whose edge bore feeble tendrils which undulated amid thew wind's matronly embrace. "Eternal youth?" he mused, perhaps he would seize such power, for life without age would bear with it a veritable font of gold since many would lust for such ageless life. Yet this Templar who sought it, would likely be dispatched to garner the remaining shard of the manuscript, yet this would be facile. The impetuous man had issued a command to extort steel from pirates, perhaps he could use this...

2013DM (talk) 19:57, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

No thank you. I don't think I could commit to a year long contest for Black Flag, and since the prize is just a token, I doubt many others would see it being worth it.
I wish you all the best however. Slate Vesper (talk) 20:19, May 11, 2014 (UTC)

Maharajas[edit source]

I recently created a category page called Maharajas instead of Maharajas of India, and I was wondering if there is any way that we can change that. Raghava Shah 19:21, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

No, you can't change it. You'll have to apply the deletion template and recreate the category. Slate Vesper (talk) 19:23, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

Ok. Raghava Shah 19:26, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

'Maharaja of India' is also not the correct term, since they only ruled over the Sikh Empire was comprised only a small portion of India and nearby countries. Additionally, I don't find the category very necessary as it only includes two characters who already share several categories. -- Master Sima Yi Talk 19:35, June 22, 2014 (UTC)

Categorization according to memory type[edit source]

Hiya,

I wanted to ask real quick: have we ever considered categorizing memories by type? I only ask because while looking for Templar hunt and Homestead memories I've struggled to find what I'm looking for in the past, so categorizing by type as well could eleviate that for anyone who's had the same problem. -Molotov.cockroach (talk) 23:37, June 28, 2014 (UTC)

Each memory has a memory navbox at the bottom of the article, listing all of a game's memories. If you can't find a specific memory, use any memory that you know from that game and then open the memory navbox until you spot the one you're after. Slate Vesper (talk) 00:48, June 29, 2014 (UTC)

Unite Program[edit source]

I have sent a request to join your team. Has it come through? Outsider (talk) 16:08, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

Yes, and you've been accepted (like that wasn't going to happen :p). If you enter your code you received on your pre-order email confirmation in the redeem code section on the view rewards screen, it'll unlock the last part. :D Slate Vesper (talk) 17:44, August 8, 2014 (UTC)
I'll sort it on Sunday. My code has gone missing, so I'll need to pre-order it again or email Ubi. Don't worry, I'll have it done then. I would sort it tomorrow, but I'm out walking again :) Outsider (talk) 22:04, August 8, 2014 (UTC)
On your order confirmation email, it should be listed as a digital item. If you can't find it, I wouldn't recommend pre-ordering it again, since Ubi will take money out of your bank, even if it's a temporary measure. Get it sorted through support, and let Mr_Shade or Black Widow on Twitter know if they don't get back to you soon. I had a word with Shade when I didn't get a reply back from Support about the Liberation Mysteries of the Bayou Pack, and he soon kicked their butts into doing something.
Anyway, I hope it goes all okay with you, and enjoy the fresh air out there for me too. I don't get enough as it stands. :P Slate Vesper (talk) 22:23, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

When I say it's gone missing, I mean I waited too long to sort it, so I can't access the downloadable content. Also, when I said "pre-order it again", I don't mean twice. I already canceled a while back because I wasn't expecting them to take all the money at once (which they did for some reason) & it got refunded. Come to think of it, they probably wouldn't give me another code without me pre-ordering again. I planned to pre-order it again in the coming weeks, but since I can't access my old code that came with my previous pre-order I'll do it on Sunday. I also need to pre-order the Rogue collector's edition, so it's beneficial to me.
If you're worried about me not being able to get you the downloadable content, don't. I love AC more than most things, so I want it too :)
And, Kain, what are you doing over here? It's adults only... Outsider (talk) 22:54, August 8, 2014 (UTC)

I'm having issues with the Ubi servers, Slate. I think it's because of the hurricane near my house. It should be ok tomorrow to sort it, but I'll keep trying to get it to work. Sorry. Outsider (talk) 18:23, August 10, 2014 (UTC)

Code Redeemed[edit source]

Just wanted to let you know that I've redeemed my code, so we've got all the DLC. I wasn't expecting to have so many issues just to get this sorted, but alas it is done. I hope the mission is of a good length.

By the way, are you getting any collector's editions for Unity or Rogue? I'm getting the Notre Dame edition for Unity & the collector's edition for Rogue. Outsider (talk) 15:40, August 12, 2014 (UTC)

/I smugly grin in Outsider's general direction.

Kain, he means that we got all the DLC offered on the Unite pre-order program, so stop it. And thanks, me, Nesty and my random friend appreciate it (but mostly me). To answer your question, I am getting the Guillotine Edition of Unity, and I might be considering the Collector's Edition of Rogue, but it all depends on whether they're due to release further editions, granted that it's a bigger console release than Sofia previously did with Liberation. Center[edit source]

I could probably alter the code so I don't need to repeat that line of code over and over again. But, and this is going to sound really lazy, if I did that, the OCD within me would compel me to change it for every single article, and I'm not sure if I want to do that. Even then, I recall it being done that way even before I took up weapons, so this isn't just me stubbornly refusing to let go of my own ideas. --Crimson Knight Intercom 09:58, September 7, 2014 (UTC)

I do get what you're saying, but as you know from me with my approach to <br> tags, I'm a reductionist. If there be unnecessary characters, I chop 'em out. :P Slate Vesper (talk) 21:14, September 7, 2014 (UTC)
You don't remember me hunting down many pages for <br> and <ref> tags? They drove me mad. Mad, I tell ya! Tell you what, if I find a way to shorten the code (which shouldn't be too hard), would you be willing to help me in my crusade to change it across the articles? I wouldn't mind doing it myself, but I've gone through those articles so many times I feel like I only piss people off when I edit them. --Crimson Knight Intercom 21:21, September 7, 2014 (UTC)
Certainly, but it shouldn't be straight away. I'll inform you when I have booked holiday from work, which should be sometime soon, and then I can focus on that part then. Slate Vesper (talk) 21:22, September 7, 2014 (UTC)
That's fine with me. I can only really do serious work on weekends now anyway. --Crimson Knight Intercom 21:24, September 7, 2014 (UTC)

I'd be lying if this wasn't in some part motivated by the fact that you've promised Unity to me, but is everything alright? It's more along the lines that real life has a way of stepping in, and Destiny had caught me with its addictive claws. Don't worry though, I am going to be more active from now on, and your copy of Unity is safe, I won't break a promise like that. Slate Vesper (talk) 20:38, September 28, 2014 (UTC)

I've noticed that sometimes when you try to remove unnecessary coding like slashes, the edit reverts immediately, and it doesn't even count as an edit.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:55, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

Personally, I don't see why the system does it anyway. The space and the slash do nothing for the coding, unless there's some super secret meaning behind it that eludes me. In any case, it's unneeded and therefore I will trim it out wherever I see it. Slate Vesper (talk) 16:58, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

On that we can agree.--Bovkaffe (talk) 16:59, October 31, 2014 (UTC)

RE: Murder Mysteries[edit source]

I agree with the idea of merging the sections, but are you suggesting I merge the case summary into the collapsible box containg the culprit or scrap the culprit and just have the case summary hidden? <choose><option>http://images.wikia.com/assassinscreed/images/7/7f/ArcemzSig.png</option></choose> 03:02, December 23, 2014 (UTC)

I feel it better for both of them to be merged, perhaps under a "Conclusion" header. Stating the murderer first embeds the point, followed by their methods, comes across sort of how you see a murder mystery depicted in a film or television. Slate Vesper (talk) 20:52, December 25, 2014 (UTC)

Ok, I'm up to the assassination of Jean-Paul Marat at the moment, so let me know how you feel about this format. If it's all good then I'll finish this one and go back and fix up the others before moving onto the other murder mysteries. <choose><option>http://images.wikia.com/assassinscreed/images/7/7f/ArcemzSig.png</option></choose> 10:08, December 27, 2014 (UTC)

If so, will you please add all of th missions to the Recollections/missions articled? Their game was released years ago, and we still haven't managed to finish the list of missions. Would you please contribute to that article? I would do it myself, but I was unable to obtain the game before it was removed from the AppStore. Toolen (talk) 21:38, January 26, 2016 (UTC)

Alright, thanks for the heads-up. -- ZéACNS (talk) 23:12, April 26, 2016 (UTC)

Subject 1 File[edit source]

While I see your point in removing the colon indents, Sima said I could use that format. See, I was trying to replicate the style used in the Helix files transcripts, with the indents & all, but because of the file view formatting it had to be modified. You prefer something else? --Darman (talk) 12:02, April 27, 2016 (UTC)

In all fairness, when it comes to the asterisk parts, they're fine without additional indents. So long as you indent before your square brackets that indicate a pause, the layout should be fine. Slate Vesper (talk) 13:33, April 27, 2016 (UTC)
Sorry, I'm confused: you say to not have additional indents, but indent before paused sections? The pauses are supposed to be flush with the left edge, with subtitles indented. --Darman (talk) 14:01, April 27, 2016 (UTC)
Yes, but you gave everything an indent in the page, when the process of adding a bulletpoint naturally indents the spoken text. So, you had essentially "double" indented the spoken parts and singularly indented the bracketed text "[text]".
Now, I ended up getting confused because we don't generally indent when we're copying the dialogue from the games to the wiki for particular memories, yet you had somewhat laid the page out like a script, for which breaks in the dialogue are actually indented further in layout-wise than the spoken pieces, as you can see here. The "Teacher" part is aligned further to the left than the (text like this).
If you would like, could you please look over the revision I'm about to do and see if it's suitable, because it's the layout for memory pages' dialogue, or if you'd prefer the layout shown in the link. Cheerss, Slate Vesper (talk) 14:25, April 27, 2016 (UTC)
OHHHHH.... Yes, I think that's what I wanted. Apologies, will correct in future. Probably was juggling too many formats at once. Much appreciated. Thanks. --Darman (talk) 15:06, April 27, 2016 (UTC)

I was wondering if you are able to add a description of the mercenary attire? Like for night stalker it says he is seen with a brown leather coat and a scarf but about what the mercenary happens to ve wearing?Commandochief99 (talk) 13:15, July 8, 2017 (UTC)
