Adding information found within the puzzles[edit source]

I've been watching a couple forums work out the different clues left in pictures or notes that Subject 16 leaves for you. Like the gibbrish notes, or random mentions of events. I think that this page would be the best place to put that stuff, but I'm wondering //how// without cluttering up the page? Would a box like the one on the Glyph page work, and then just add in the random stuff on each particular Rifts "page"? -- A Black Rabbit 07:45, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Yep that sounds good. Personally, I think it would be best if this page matched the Glyph page, even in format. =GuardDog 08:21, November 30, 2010 (UTC)

Well I can go around digging up what other stuff in found in each of the Glyph puzzles as well, that way they match. I'm sure in the past year or so someone's done it. :) -- A Black Rabbit 02:46, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

The secret messages of subject 16[edit source]

As you know, there are secret messages within these. for instance, in sequence 3, ""Le chiffre indechiffrable" translates to the "The indecipherable cipher", which is refering to the Vigenere cipher. a cipher that requires a certain key to decode a incomprehensable string of letters. aka, the weird string of letters seen in the pictures.

But, as I said, it requires a key, which is most likely the red letters "imf" in one of the hidden messages (which really should be detailed which letters are red in there). I cant find a vigenere cipher translation program myself. but someone should take those string of letters and use the cypher with the key 'imf' to decode em.CloudHiro 10:26, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

(Psst, you may want to delete your other section on the talk page. :) )
It's already been done on a number of forums by a number of people, right now I'm just trying to collect them all, as its hard for me to make out the text on my tv screen. The code for Cluster 3 is indeed IMF. The one involving the bolt of lightning (6 I think?) is either ITT or CNN. But I haven't gotten that far yet in the data. :) I've started compiling it all on my sandbox page (User:A Black Rabbit/Sandbox), including all the quotes and a bit of minor background on how they're connected, but it's going to take a long while, and a lot of editing before it can really be added to the page. I have to agree though with User:GuardDog that this page //should// resemble the Glyphs page, because that box that contains all the answers is really nifty. At least in my opinion. ;) -- A Black Rabbit 11:04, December 1, 2010 (UTC)

It would be nice to explain how to solve the ciphers.

unfinished[edit source]

is anybody going to put the puzzle solutions for clusters 8,9 and 10? i'm stuck on those and don't know where else to look.--Soul reaper magnum 00:00, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

This site here has the puzzle answers. Also, you can Google "Brotherhood rift puzzles" or something like that to find other sites that have the answers, there are quite a few out there. As for the unfinished state of the article, I'm not sure if anyone intends to complete it, I guess it's kinda been forgotten. OZZY 02:11, February 12, 2011 (UTC)

Figured there'd be a short discussion of the hidden codes and such in each cluster, such as musical notes, morse code, things like mentioning the IMF, etc.

The Creepy Female Voice[edit source]

Did that female voice creep out anybody else, especially in the latter clusters when she started breaking down and crying for help without losing that monotone?

DarkSoldier84 03:19, June 11, 2011 (UTC)

16 speaking using the Animus. That's my guess, but yes, creeped me out too Master Decoder 09:03, February 19, 2012 (UTC)

Article Title[edit source]

Should we move the content of this article under the title Clusters? That's the name used in the title of the puzzles. We can then redirect the 'Rifts' title there. Smoke3723 00:40, July 10, 2011 (UTC)

Puzzle Types[edit source]

One of the main types of puzzles is missing in the Puzzle Types part. I'm talking about that type of puzzles that you turn rings of circular thing in order to make them correct images. --Safety and peace 07:53, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

Cluster 5 correction[edit source]

hey just to let u guys know in cluster 5 where it says EYE TEA TEE and u used that cipher to make it "CNN", its actually supposed to be "ITT" , no chiper-ing needed. ITT stands for international phone and telegraph (prollt somethin different now) but yea wiki it, and you'll see the picture from the cluster is the front of the building. it makes sense there a huge corporate empire, or were i guess... Cluster 9 Alternate Solution[edit source]

There is another solution for the audio puzzle of cluster 9. Selecting these also works.

"Rifts"[edit source]

Where did the name "Rifts" come from? I've never heard it in-game, only the name "Clusters." I propose a move. -- Master Sima Yi 10:28, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Not sure where but I think somewhere in ACBH they call it a "rift in the Animus programming". I could be wrong though. IlMualim Wanna Chat? 10:44, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

I support the move to "Clusters". Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 12:47, May 4, 2012 (UTC)

Little late on this but there was a heading in the Revelations Game Guide called "Glyphs and Rifts". Arcemz Something on your mind? 06:42, May 9, 2012 (UTC)

Did this move proposal die? --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 17:25, June 5, 2012 (UTC)

Aaaaaaaaand another bump. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 18:04, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
So you won't have to wait ANOTHER month or two. I support the move unless some solid evidence from AC2 is provided 115.186.172.61 18:06, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
DAMN EDIT CONFLICTS!!!!
Anyway: "Uh...what's gonna happen, guys?" is what I wanted to say. The Leaping Eagle (talk) 18:08, August 6, 2012 (UTC)
I have heard clusters and rifts used interchangeably by some of the AC team in interviews. And no I am not going to go back and provide a link(s) to prove it because there would be too many to look through.-- KaloneousHelpDesk 18:14, August 6, 2012 (UTC)

You guys forgot to add a simple information on this article: in which game does these rifts show? Not AC2, thats for sure. And since I dont have the other games, oh well...

New Move Vote[edit source]

Since it died before, I call for a new vote for a move to Clusters.

Comments

  1. Rifts refer to the objects found in Rome. The Clusters are inside the Rifts. If we change the name, we'll have to change the info regarding Rome and such. Stormbeast The Helpful Place 01:41, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
  2. The article is primarily about Cluster contents, so there goes my primary point, but we could mention the Rifts themselves in one of the sections. --Kainzorus Prime Walkie-talkie 02:24, July 24, 2013 (UTC)
  3. The article is, and should remain, about the rifts themselves. If we change it to an article about the puzzles (clusters) inside the rifts, we risk moving into OOU territory and user guides which we have just voted to remove completely). --Jasca Ducato Council Chamber Assassination record 11:49, July 24, 2013 (UTC)

"ultrasound of an unborn child"[edit source]

Ohh is that what it is? I couldn't tell that it was supposed to be anything in particular. I made out a face in it but nothing else, and it didn't look anything like a fetus to me.--Atlantima (talk) 02:18, October 10, 2014 (UTC)

Expand?[edit source]

Should we expand this to include other rifts like the Server Bridges in Unity, the WWI rift in Syndicate, the Helix Rift Events of Rebellion, and possibly more? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 18:23, 31 October 2020 (UTC)

I think so. Both Syndicate and Unity use the white "hole" that the old Animus Rifts did, and while Rebellion's Helix servers don't have that, it's still called a Rift Event, so the user avatar had to have entered something. Idk whether they warrant full explanations or just passing mentions, as the Unity server bridges are repetitive in mission objectives and Bishop's dialogue, while Rebellion regularly cycles through the same Rift Events. – Darman (talk) 20:50, 31 October 2020 (UTC)
Bump this due to Shadows have more Rifts (explicitly called that). Also are Glyphs just a subset of Rifts and should they be merged here? Lacrossedeamon (talk) 08:22, 13 May 2025 (UTC)

Cluster 7 year references[edit source]

Cluster 7 starts with a list of year that famous events happen although I am uncertain on the specific reference for some of them but should we link them at least to the year if not the event either on this wiki or wikipedia? 30 most likely is the crucifixion, 476 fall of Rome, 1337 Hundred Years War, 1431 probably trial of Joan of Arc, 1520 probably Night of Sorrows, 1776 American Revolution, 1861 probably American Civil War, 1914 WWI, 1929 Wall Street crash/Great Depression, 1939 WW2, 1945 Hitler's death, 1950 possibly Korean War, 1955 TV debut of Elvis Presley (joking could be a lot of things), 1962 probably Cuban Missile Crisis, 1990 possibly Operation Desert Shield, 1994 maybe NAFTA, 1995 no idea, 2001 9/11 GWOT.
