Ohthere of Hålogaland

Ohthere was a Norse navigator and explorer.^[1]

He is known for having recounted many of his trips to King Alfred of Wessex in 890, providing the Christian world with more knowledge of the North and its people.^[1] Ohthere was also, at one point, acquainted with both Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan and the Hidden One Hytham, teaching the latter skills about seafaring.^[2]
