Biography[edit | edit source]

Anuke's death

Anuke was once married to Het, who died some years prior and left behind a band that was given during their wedding. While inspecting the band one day, Anuke caught sight of two bandits abusing a villager. Anuke took a short sword and sneaked behind one of the bandits, killing him. Spotted by the other bandit, Anuke attempted to deliver the same fate, but was outmaneuvered by the bandit, who killed her by snapping her neck.[1]

After her death, Anuke was mistakenly admitted to the afterlife under the name 'Yinepu'. Although she passed through the Hall of Two Truths, she was refused entry into Aaru, where her husband's soul resided in. Het, sensing something was wrong, attempted various ways to bring her soul across, not knowing she was admitted under another name. Later on, he met the Hidden One Bayek of Siwa, who agreed to help him look into the Lodge of Names and find out what was wrong.[1]

Bayek, having discovered the the issue, performed a ritual using Anuke's correct name and followed her 'Ren' to an Anubis warrior. After killing it, Bayek was greeted by Anubis himself, who granted Anuke access to Aaru. Anuke thanked Bayek by giving him a nod before disappearing to join with Het.[1]
