Stowe was an Anglo-Saxon who served as the reeve of western Lunden in the 9th century. He was also the partner of Erke Bodilsson, who was the reeve of eastern Lunden.
Biography[edit | edit source]
A descendant from a Moroccan migrant,[1] Stowe was raised in the original Lundenwic settlement, brought up by priests and taught the scriptures of Christ's apostles. In time, Stowe proved himself both a noble and capable leader and was elected to the post of reeve (sherriff) by Danish governor Tryggr, alongside Erke Bodilsson.[2] The pair eventually formed a romantic relationship that they hid from the public.[3]
Events of AC Valhalla[edit | edit source]
Eivor Varinsdottir, a Viking shieldmaiden, first encountered Stowe outside the gates of Lunden attempting to calm the villagers gathering around a tipped food cart. Eivor wished to ally with Tryggr and establish a peaceful relationship between Lunden and Ravensthorpe, her newly established settlement, and thus struck up a conversation with the reeve. Shortly afterward, a group of drunk bandits working for Avgos Spearhand arrived, demanding a larger cut of profits from the local merchants. Eivor interjected herself into the confrontation, and assisted Stowe in the resulting fistfight. After realising Eivor's intentions to help, Stowe took her to the governor's manor to meet Tryggr.[2]

Stowe first appeared in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, where he is voiced by Andrew Shaver.
A month after release, Betty Robertson, script writer on Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, mentioned on Twitter that Stowe's grandfather migrated to England from Morocco.[1]
