The Tatmadaw (Burmese: တပ်မတော်) is the armed forces of Myanmar. Since 2021, it has been in control of most of Myanmar, following the coup d'état which installed a military junta in the country and resulted in the creation of the State Administration Council.[1]

Secretly, the Tatmadaw was allied with Abstergo Industries, the front company of the Templar Order, who helped it maintain control over the nation. After Abstergo tracked Noa Kim, Shimazu Sei, Yuki, and Nathan Zhang, who were in possession of a crescent-shaped Piece of Eden, to Yangon, the Tatmadaw helped the Templars in their hunt of the group.[2] Ultimately, Abstergo's Sigma Team was able to eliminate Yuki,[3] capture Sei, and seize the Piece of Eden, although Noa and Nathan escaped Yangon with another artifact they had retrieved from the Shwedagon Pagoda.[4]
