Rhine Fortification

Rhine Fortification was a Frankish military camp build along the River Rhine in the northwestern part of the region, northeast of Fort Ehrenfels. It was protected by a medium-sized military force.

In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by the Vikings Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn, and her longship crew.^[1]
