Raeganhere was an Anglo-Saxon man who lived in Lincoln during the 9th century. One of the caretakers of Lord Hunwald, Raeganhere was a loyal servant and housekeeper to the Hunwald's father, Ealdorman Hundbeorht, and their family line.
Biography
Unknown about his past, Raeganhere was inferred to be present as one of the caretakers of Hunwald, when he was a child. Raeganhere also seemed to be under Hundbeorht's class, as he never disobeyed those over his status.[1]
Making sure Hunwald returned to Lincoln safely, Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir escorted the young lord through Lincoln, which was on notice to look out and fight any unwanted or suspicious visitors. Making their way to Hunwald's house, Eivor and Hunwald arrived and entered into the house, where they saw Raeganhere working. Surprised, Raeganhere was elated to see Hunwald safe and sound. Hunwald asked for his father, but Raeganhere admitted that the ealdorman was gone as he was took by soldiers to be with the sisters of God. Raeganhere stated that Bishop Herefrith was the interim man-in-charge as he took care of Lincoln, after the "departure" of Ealdorman Hundbeorht. With the information given by Raeganhere, Eivor and Hunwald left for the town hall to find Hunwald's father.[1]
