Niall Glúndub (died 919) was King of Ailech and later High King of Ireland who reigned in the late 9th and early 10th century. He was the son of Áed Findliath and the half-brother of Domnall mac Áeda, whom he shared kingship of Ailech with.

Behind the scenes

Niall is a historical character in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla's Wrath of the Druids DLC. Historically, Niall only began to rule alongside Domnall in the early 9th century, becoming sole king of Ailech in 911. In the events of the DLC however, which takes place between 879 and 882, Domnall and Niall are portrayed as co-kings of Ailech.
