Ali Baba (died 860s) was a famous merchant who lived in Baghdad during the 9th century, where he owned an estate in the district of Karkh with his daughter Murjana.

Ali Baba came to deal with a group of thieves known as the Forty Thieves, led by their King and had a hideout in the south of the city.[1]
