Eogan mac Cartaigh (died c. 879), also known as The Oak, was a dedicated Irish Christian priest under Flann Sinna's reign. Unbeknownst to his colleagues and even the king himself, Eogan was the Ollamh Druid of the extremist Druidic cult known as the Children of Danu. The Children of Danu served as the Irish branch of the Order of the Ancients.[2]
