Doom Eagle is an international criminal organization based in Southeast Asia. Led by the Assassin Nathan Zhang, it often worked alongside the Zhawang Corporation led by Nathan's relative Claire Zhang, handling the company's "dirty work".
History
Activities in Macau
In 2023, the Zhawang Corporation learned about Noa Kim, a Korean-American college student, whom both Nathan and Claire regarded as a member of their "family". As such, the two worked together to try and rescue him following Noa's abduction by Abstergo Industries.[1]
During Noa's trip with the Templar Shimazu Sei to the A-Ma Cultural Village in Macau, Nathan dispatched several thugs to serve as a distraction while two of Claire's agents approached Noa. The thugs attacked Sei and killed her bodyguards, but before they could execute the Templar, they were defeated by Noa, who had declined the agents' offer to be rescued.[2]
Sometime later, Nathan and several of his gang members watched as the Exitus research vessel, which Noa was held aboard, left Macau. Suspecting the ship was heading to the Philippines, where his organization had a foothold, Nathan snatched away the phone of a Zhawang Corporation agent to speak with Claire and ask her to let Doom Eagle handle Noa's rescue. Claire was reluctant given Nathan's history of "blowing things out of proportion", but ultimately conceded.[1]
Attempt to rescue Noa Kim
Following the Exitus to Cebu, Doom Eagle had several men survey the Abstergo convoy containing Noa and Sei from a distance as to avoid detection. After the convoy left the Basilica del Santo Niño, the gang members decided to initate their rescue operation and manipulated the traffic to force the convoy to travel through another route. Once the convoy reached an empty street, Doom Eagle used a Zhawang Corporation truck to block its path before gang members emerged from the surrounding buildings and opened fire on the Abstergo vehicles.[3]
