County Cork

County Cork is the southernmost county of Ireland. In 1822, English landlord Brandon Bolster and his family were attacked on their Athlacca estate in the county by irate tenants,^[1] who formed the Whiteboys, over tensions revolving over Bolster's usage of the farmlands. Fifty men attacked the estate and this ultimately resulted in the estate nearly being destroyed. Brandon survived the assault.^[2]
