Adéwalé

From the Assassin's Creed Wiki
Revision as of 08:36, 2 October 2013 by 50.83.251.35 (Sọ̀rọ̀) (Adéwalé may or may not have been a member of the Assassin Order, though he was in fact a member of Edward Kenway's crew aboard the Jackdaw. Looking for a reference to back up the mention that he was most definitely a member of the Assassins.)

Adéwalé aboard the Jackdaw

Adéwalé[1] was a former slave from Trinidad, and might have been a member of the Assassin Order. He was Edward Kenway's first mate aboard the Jackdaw.[2]

During the Golden Age of Piracy, Adéwalé pointed out scenes of interest to the pirate Assassin, who could then intervene or ignore them. At some point, he helped Edward gain the Jackdaw and its crew.[3][4]

Trivia

  • Adéwalé is a variant of the Yoruba name Adebowale, suggested to mean "crown has come home." [5]
  • Ubisoft confirmed that one of the single-player DLCs included in the Season Pass will be focusing on Adéwalé's life.[6]
