Causantin mac Cináeda was the King of the Picts in the late 9th century, based in Scotland.^[1]

During the Viking expansion, Causantin sent a letter to the warriors of Clan Dunbar, instructing them to scout the Danes occupying Northumbria for weaknesses.^[2]
