Beteleah Farm was a small pig farm between Elmenham and Northwic during the 9th century.

History

Around 873 CE, the farm was raided by Rued's men. Some time later, the Viking Eivor found the ransacked farm still guarded by raiders. Eliminating the raiders and locating a key inside the farm's pig food shed, Eivor managed to enter the house and found the farmer's valuables, the Iron Storm flail, and a page which read:

A Wife's Prayer
Edgar, it's been days since Alder left to track the raiders near our farm. I have faith God will protect him, but I still worry. If you venture into the fields, have a care.[1]
