The Royal Phoenix was a schooner captained by Jack Rackham up until 1718, when it was used by Edward Kenway, Charles Vane, and Rackham himself to break through the Royal Navy's blockade of Nassau.^[1]

In order to accomplish this, the Royal Phoenix was turned into a makeshift fireship and launched at Royal Navy warships blocking the port. The plan was a success, though the Royal Phoenix was destroyed in the process.^[1]

Trivia[edit | edit source]

Although named Royal Phoenix, Rackham's vessel is called the Kingston in its database entry. Historically, the Kingston was a ship captured by Rackham after he had mutinied against Charles Vane.
