Downloadable content (also known as DLC) refers to content released separately from Assassin's Creed II. The first DLC, entitled Battle of Forlì, was released January 28th, 2010. Whilst the second one, entitled Bonfire of the Vanities, was released on February 18th, 2010.
Both DLC packs fill the previously missing memory blocks that were originally cut from the game's design. The Bonfire of the Vanities included a new area in Florence, the sprint-jump ability (which allows Ezio to jump twice as far), as well as the three in-game bonus memories (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 only), allowing the Ezio to explore the following (Each will show up as a "Templar Lair" on the map):
- Palazzo Medici in Florence
- Santa Maria dei Frari In Venice
- Arsenal Shipyard Warehouse In Venice
Originally exclusive to the White, Black and Master Assassin's Edition.
