A live-action Assassin's Creed television series is currently being developed by Ubisoft Film & Television.[1] Ubisoft's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik will serve as executive producers on the series.[2]
Development
The series was revealed to be in the early stages of development in October 2020. Ubisoft partnered with Netflix to produce three separate Assassin's Creed series, an animated, anime, and a live-action. Although a showrunner has not been found,[1] Ubisoft's Jason Altman and Danielle Kreinik were announced as executive producers via the NXOnNetflix twitter account.[2]
In an April 2021 Eurogamer interview with Aymar Azaïzia, he confirmed that "[they had] secured a couple of talents and are working with them on the show." He was hesitant to share anything else, apart from the fact that the team had learnt from their mistakes of the 2016 film starring Michael Fassbender. He noted that Assassin's Creed would translate better into a television series to ease newcomers into it with the massive amounts of lore present in the series.[3]
