The Village of Dumnonia was a small Anglo-Saxon village build along the River Exe in the northern part of the region, east of the Fortress on the Exe. It consisted of four houses and was surrounded by many flower fields.
In the 9th century, it was raided multiple times by Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan, Vagn and their raiding crew on her longship.[1]
