Suphia (died 48 BCE) was an Egyptian healer who worked in Nitria during the reign of Ptolemy XIII. The mistress of Rudjek, the Nomarch of the Saqqara Nome and a member of the Order of the Ancients, she sought revenge for the death of her beloved.
Biography
Early Life
Suphia was a healer who served as one of Nefertari's assistants in Nitria, a natron mine in the Saqqara Nome. At some point prior to 49 BCE, she met and fell in love with Rudjek, the Nomarch of the nome, becoming his mistress.[1] At some point in 48 BCE, Suphia came across Rudjek's deceased body in the Bent Pyramid, with his killer nowhere to be found.
