Annagh Doo

Annagh Doo was a marsh in 9th century Meath, Ireland, north of Tara. It appeared to be a former Christian site, but the locale looked to be abandoned after some time.

History

In the late 9th century, Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan visited Annagh Doo, as she and her cousin, Bárid mac Ímair, discovered that a priest of Flann Sinna's coronation was found murdered nearby. From their investigation, Eivor and Bárid discovered the marsh was made into a campsite by bandits and that one of them was disguised in the dead priest's clothes. After eradicating the bandits, Eivor found a kill order made for Flann, among the disguised bandit's personal effects, sent from an unknown conspirator.[1]
