Anlaf's Lookout was a former Viking outpost in 9th century Eurvicscire.
History
In the 9th century, the Viking shieldmaiden Eivor Varinsdottir of the Raven Clan was sent an invitation by Halfdan Ragnarsson to meet personally. Her invitation led Eivor to travel to Anlaf's Lookout. Upon her arrival, Eivor noticed wolves and the aftermath of a battle at the location. From further inspection, Eivor noticed a multitude of bodies of both Norse warriors and Picts. From her search, Eivor left the area and headed for the hills, as she followed a trail of warpath from the lookout.[1]
Through her travels, Eivor climbed to the top of the lookout's highest tower of the two and synchronized a viewpoint.[2]
