The Nine Realms were considered the various homeworlds of the Norse gods and other races that existed along the branches of Yggdrasil, which wove them together to form the Norse cosmos. The realms were Álfheimr, Asgard, Jötunheimr, Múspellsheimr, Midgard, Svartálfaheimr, Vanaheimr, Niflheim/Helheimr, and Niðavellir.
In the 9th century, Eivor Varinsdottir relived Odin's genetic memories of Asgard and Jötunheimr during the Isu Era in his attempts to avert his fated encounter with Loki's son Fenrir at the onset of Ragnarök.
