Kjotve the Cruel (died 872) was a member of the Order of the Ancients who operated in Norway during the 9th century.
In 856, Kjotve led a raid on the settlement of Fornburg in Rygjafylke that resulted in the deaths of Varin and Rosta, the parents of Eivor.[1]
Nearly 17 years later, Eivor, Sigurd, Basim, Hytham and several warriors of the Raven Clan raided Kjotve's Fortress. Eivor challenged Kjotve to a holmgang (duel). At some point during the duel, Hytham attempted to assasinate Kjotve but failed. Later, Eivor finished Kjotve.
