This article is about the primordial Greek deity. For other uses, see Gaia.
Gaia, also spelled Gaea, is the Greek personification of the earth, the Mother Earth. She is considered a primordial deity, mother to all living things, with the Olympian pantheon counting her in their ancestry. Her Roman counterpart was Terra.[1]
